The Corridor
This is an old story I wrote last year for the first Forumotion website I ever joined, The Webkinz Chat Spot.
btw the owner there tries to lie to me about myself even though we both know that he's lying
- Prologue:
- I was walking through the woods one day and I found a red scarf. I picked it up off the ground so I could look at it when I heard a sudden banging noise. I felt surprise toward the sudden noise, and it was just a few feet away from where I stood. I look up to see a small hut. I step toward it and I walk through the tiny doorway to find I`m standing in pitch black darkness.
"Hello?" I ask, clutching the red scarf in my hand. Nobody answers. I try to step back out of the doorway, but it`s not there. I`m stuck. I panic and drop my scarf, frantically looking around me. I`m alone. I`m in a small hut. I have no idea what is going on and it`s dark. I scream for help and I knock on a wall. "Hello!" someone says. I stare into the darkness toward the voice.
"Turn on the light, Richy!" the voice says. A light turns on and I find myself alone in a long corridor. I freak out and turn to see a door. I go through it and find myself outside of my house. 'How does this make SENSE?' I ask myself. I shrug and walk into my house.
- Chapter 1:
- I walked into my house to find my mom staring at me with very angry eyes. I had a suspicious look on my face. I asked her why she was staring at me. She growled and I just acted like she wasn`t doing anything even though she was being TOTALLY strange. I smiled at her and said "Why aren`t you doing anything and why are you staring at me?" and she said in a monster like voice "I know not who your mother is, but I know you need to get out of here before my Kyle beats you up." I stared at her blankly. I started to say something, but I hesitated and thought for a minute.
Didn`t she recognize me? Her only son? The only person she really cared for besides dad? Why did she not remember me? How could I be someone else? I felt a tear in my eye and I brushed it away from my eye. I looked at her with what I thought of as an intense glare. "Well I`m waiting!" she said angrily. I said to her "Mother, I`m Kyle. I`m your son.". She smiled, said "Oh, really?" and hugged me. Then I felt a stabbing pain in my back and I threw her off of me in a hurry before I could cry out in pain. The monster who had now stood in front of me was not my mother. This dark massive lizard was something else. Something that horrified me. I hightailed it out of the doorway and dashed outside and I thought about where I should go. I ran while trying to get the image of the monster out of my head.
I ran to the woods where I had found my scarf to find another boy. He looked exactly like me. "Hello." I said timidly to him. He didn`t hear me. He just stared at his scarf. Then I realized was watching my past. I ran after myself. I snatched the scarf out of his hand but he never noticed. I watched him run into the hut. Then I ran through the woods and straight into my dad. "Dad?" I asked. Dad greeted me like he always does. "Hey, kiddo!" he says, hugging me with one arm. He frowned. I blinked at his frown. He took the scarf out of my hand and asked me "You didn`t go into the old Hut, did you?"
- Chapter 2:
- "What old hut?" I asked. "The one that you got this scarf from." he said, recognizing that I was lying. "I- I- I... What happens of I did?" I asked. He took me to the hut and said "Richard, you are to bury this scarf right in front of the door to this hut and never go looking for the scarf again. Once it's buried, go back into the hut." he told me. "Oh, ok..." I said. He helped me bury the scarf. Then he rushed me to the door of the hut and pushed me inside. "See ya, sport!" he said with a big grin. His grin turned into a look of pure fear as the door closed it's self behind me. "DAD!" I shouted. "DADDY!" I screamed at the top of my lungs.
The lights came on and I ran to the door and when I went through the door I found myself outside of my house again.
This time, I didn't hesitate to run into the woods toward the hut. I found my dad banging at the door. Dad? I yelled. He turned and said "You have the curse. I can help you. Don't go home until this curse has lifted." I stared at him with a look of pure confusion. "What?" I asked.
