Weheartit is an inspiration gallery. Has anyone ever made an inspiration collage or whatever? Weheartit is the virtual equivalent to that. The images are not meant to be used in graphics or to be downloaded.. They are meant to inspire people to do things in life. Each image there has a copyright, and a lot of the authors and photographers may not want their images used. I'm not saying you can't use it on the site since I don't have that much authority. However, I am saying that's its not a good thing to do, and possibly infringes copyright law. Imagine taking an author's book, changing the storyline a litte, and adding anew cover without the permission and credit of the original author. In essence, that's what's being done when a person uses images from Weheartit for their graphics without proper permission and crediting.

Although Sec. 107 of Copyright says that copyrighted works may be used for fair use, it would be up to the artists/photographers and possibly legal authorities as to be super specific as to what fair use is.

The best thing to do is to stray away from using places like Weheartit and pinterest for images. Simple, use google images & go to settings. Change it to where it filters to images you can modify. Also, you can use special sites meant for stock like shuttershock, if you're willing to pay. If you have a deviantART account, there's a whole section of graphics resources [however, most of the artists have usage policies that you would need to read].
